Char Dham Yatra 2022 : Uttarakhand

Uttarakhand also known as the devbhoomi(land of gods), In Uttarakhand there are many things for which its the centre of attraction all over the india but the main thing making uttarakhand unique is char dham yatra of Uttarakhand i.e. started evey year for the six months of the year. Chardham(four pilgrimage sites) of Uttarakhand involved in this renowned chardham yatra of Uttarakhand are: Yamnotri Dham, Gangotri Dham, Kedarnath Dham, Badrinath Dham. These are the four pilgrimage sites of Uttarakhand that are very popular among hindu religion. It’s beleived that one should complete this char dham yatra once in a life to attain salvation (moksha) and that’s the main every hindu dreams to be a part of this yatra once in their life.

Now coming to this year, In 2022 chardham yatra will start on 3 may 2022.

“So here are the few points one should keep in mind before starting your yatra:”

1. *Uttarakhand government has instructed that all the devotees will have to register on the state’s portal before their arrival.
2. * To register you can visit the official website of chardham yatra.
3. * It’s not mandatory for devotees to bring Negative covid-19 report or vaccination certificate but one should keep it for their own safety.

The Opening Dates of Chardham Yatra in 2022

Yamunotri Dham

Yamunotri dham is the first pilgrimage site of the Chardham Yatra. Its located in the western most part of garhwal region i.e. in District Uttarkashi of State Uttarakhand.
Opening date: 3 may 2022
Closing date :24 october 2022(tentative)

Gangotri Dham

Gangotri Dham is the second pilgrimage site of chardham yatra. Its located in District Uttarkashi of state Uttarakhand.
Opening date: 3 may 2022
Closing date: 25 October 2022(tentative)

Kedarnath Dham

Kedarnath dham is the third pilgrimage site of chardham yatra. It’s locted in district Rudraprayag of state Uttarakhand.
Opening date: 6 may 2022
Closing date: 24 october 2022(tentative)

Badrinath Dham

Badrinath Dham is the fourth and final pilgrimage site of the char dham yatra. It’s located in district Chamoli of state Uttarakhand.
Opening date: 8 may 2022
Closing date: 26 October 2022 (tentative)
