1.) The district is named after Amar Shaheed Sardar Udham Singh.
2.) Udham Singh Nagar got the honor of the district on 30-9-1995 during the reign of Mayawati.

4.) Moradabad, Bijnor, Pilibhit, Bareilly and Rampur are in the south of the district. Nainital Champawat district also borders the district to the north and the eastern border meets the neighboring country of Nepal.

10.) The first tehsil is Bajpur. Bajpur is a district in Udham Singh Nagar district, Uttarakhand. It comes in Kumaon Mandal. The old name of Bajpur was Mundiya. According to historians, Bajpur was a pargana of Charasi Mal till the sixteenth century. King Rudrachandra paid enough attention to the management of the Terai after taking full rights of eighty four goods from the Mughal emperor Akbar, but due to some disputes, the king’s successors did not pay much attention to the Terai, as a result of which the Hindu chieftains of Katehar took up the large lands of the Terai. -Take possession of the part. But during the reign of King Baj Bahadur Chand, Emperor Shah Jahan again granted the jagirdari of Terai to the king of Kumaon. King Baj Bahadur Chand paid special attention to the management of the Terai and established the city of Bajpur in his name.
11.) The second tehsil is Gadarpur. This city was formed with the arrival of refugees from Pakistan at the time of partition of India. Refugees settled here and started living here. The refugees are Punjabis who make up the majority in the city. National Highway 309 passes through here.
12.) The third tehsil is Jaspur. It is a town and a municipal board located in Udhamsinghnagar district. It is said that Jaspur was founded by Yashodhar Singh Adhikari, a well-known commander of the Chandra dynasty. Whose name was Yashpur, later it became Jaspur after being disfigured. Jaspur is a special place located in Udham Singh Nagar which displays the harmonious coexistence of people of Buddhist, Sikh, Hindu and Muslim religions. At this place you can see the holy places of these four communities. It is also an important city as festivals of different communities are held here from time to time.
13.) The fourth tehsil is Kashipur. It is an important mythological and industrial town located in Udham Singh Nagar district. This is one of the main attractions of Udham Singh Nagar. This place is also known as Govishan. Kashipur was named after Kashinath Adhikari. Kashinath Adhikari had established this place. Kashipur is believed to have once been a prosperous city, a vibrant economy with a busy trade network. Due to these specialties, many big business classes and travelers were attracted here. The famous poet Gumani has also written many poems at this place.
14.) The fifth tehsil is Kiccha. It is a Nagar Palika Parishad located in Udham Singh Nagar district. It is an important city of Uttarakhand, and is the fourth largest city of the Kumaon division of Uttarakhand and the ninth largest city of Uttarakhand. Kichha is an old tehsil of Uttarakhand, which was established during the British rule.
15.) Chhati Tehsil is Sitarganj. It comes under Kumaon division. In the year 2003, Aldiko-Cidcul was established by the Government of Uttarakhand on 2093 acres of land in the Sampoornanand camp (open jail) area of Sitarganj. In the nine years from 2003 to 2012, about 145 industries were established in this Aldeco sidekul.
16.) The seventh tehsil is Rudrapur. Rudrapur city is the district headquarters. The city of Rudrapur is known today as a major industrial and educational centre. It is also the employment center of the whole of Uttarakhand.
17.) The eighth tehsil is Nanakmatta. The city is famous for its historical Sikh temples Gurdwara Nanakmatta and Bauli Sahib.
18.) The ninth and last tehsil is Khatima. Khatima is a municipal board located in Udham Singh Nagar district in the state of Uttarakhand, India. Khatima Nagar Panchayat was elevated to the status of Municipality in the year 1988.

30.) Purnagiri temple situated in this district is famous for Shaktipeeth. This temple is dedicated to Poornagiri, a form of Goddess Parvati. This place is 21 KM from Tanakpur.
31.) There is also an Ataria temple in this district. Atria Mata is worshiped in this temple. According to a folktale, when King Rudra was passing through the place, his chariot got stuck in the marshy land, so he decided to build a temple at that place. Every year a large number of devotees visit this temple. A ten-day fair program is organized here on the occasion of Navratras. Ataria temple is situated at a distance of two kilometers from Rudrapur-Haldwani road.
32.) Giri Sarovar is a very beautiful lake located in Udham Singh Nagar district. This place is also known as a picnic spot. This lake attracts tourists from far and wide on the strength of its beauty and serene environment. Giri Sarovar is on the Kashipur-Ramnagar road. Which is situated at a distance of about two kilometres.
33.) Another lake Drona Sagar is also situated near Giri Sarovar. Both these lakes make this place special.
34.) NanakMatta Gurdwara is one of the religious places located in Udham Singh Nagar. This is a famous Sikh pilgrimage site here, devotees from far and wide come here for darshan. It is believed that Guru Nanak sanctified this place with his holy feet. According to local legend, at some point there was a great outbreak of the Dhela river, which caused great destruction every year, when Guru Nanak entered here, the villagers were on the verge of leaving their homes in search of a safe place. It is believed that when people touched the feet of Nanak Dev ji by chanting kirtan bhajans, the river calmed down on its own, after which there was never a flood situation here.
35.) Baoli Sahib is also located in Nanak Matta town of Udham Singh Nagar. It is situated on the quiet bank of Ghaggar river. It is named after a small bowl of water or an open well that was built by Sri Guru Nanak Devi. It is about one and a half km from Gurudwara Nanak Matta Sahib. Is situated at this distance.
36.) There is also a temple of Chaiti Mata in this district, which is named after Mata Chaiti Devi. According to the belief, the right arm of Goddess Sati had fallen here. It is also called Mata Balasundari Temple and it comes in the fifty-one Shaktipeeth, which is also said to be related to the Mahabharata period. Lakhs of devotees come here during the Navaratras to have darshan of Chaiti Devi. This temple is situated on Kashipur-Bajpur road which is 2.5 kms from Kashipur bus stand. This temple is one of the major places of Udham Singh Nagar.
37.) Chaiti Mela (also known as Chaiti Fair) is a famous fair of Kashipur region. It is organized every year in Kashipur in Udham Singh Nagar district on the Navratri of Chaitra month. This fair is organized on a very large scale.
38.) The world famous Gobind Ballabh Pant University is in this district. It is the first agricultural university in the country and was established in 1960.
39.) Hemanti Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University is also in this district. It was constructed in 1970. This Vishwavidyalaya was given the status of Kendriya Vishwavidyalaya on 15 January 2009.

Also Sardar Bhagat Singh Government PG College, Chanakya Law College, Bhartiya International School, Rainbow Public School, Saraf Public School, Josie’s Public School, Columbus Public School, Riverdale International School, Amenity Public School, Jawahar Navodaya, Delhi Public School , Devasthali Vidyapeeth etc. are the best educational institutes in the district.
41.) Talking about the economy, the economy of the district is mainly dependent on agriculture. Paddy, sugarcane, mustard, lentils, wheat and potatoes are cultivated in large quantities here.
42.) Delta Power Solutions, Tata Motors, Nestle India, Dabur India Limited, Bajaj Auto, Britannia Industries, TVS Motors, Mahindra Tractors, Parle Agro, HCL, HP, Ashok Leyland also have units in the district.
43.) Udham Singh Nagar district is also known as the rice bowl of Uttarakhand.
44.) A lake named Drona Sagar is also situated in this district. It is said that Guru Dronacharya used to stay here with his disciples and also used to take bath in this lake and it is also said that bathing in this lake gives virtue like bathing in the Ganges.
45.) A Phool Bagh airstrip is also located in this district.
46.) A Shri Bhimashankar temple is also situated in this district. This temple is one of the 12 famous Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. Hundreds of Shiva devotees come here every year, especially in the month of Sawan, there is a huge crowd of devotees. This temple is just 3 km away from Kashipur bus stand.
47.) An Indian Institute of Management, also known as IIM, is also located in this district. It is one of the 13 Indian Institutes of Management, established by the government under the Eleventh Five Year Plan.
